This Privacy Policy explains how Heartbeat ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use heartbeatvisuals.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the Service:

• Account information: Your email address and encrypted password when you create an account.
• Billing information: Payment is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details — Stripe processes and stores all payment information.
• Usage data: Basic information about how you use the Service, such as session activity.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

Heartbeat processes your data locally in your browser:

• Excel and CSV files you upload are never sent to our servers
• Chart data, settings, and configurations stay in your browser session
• Videos you export are generated locally and never uploaded to us

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Process your subscription payments via Stripe
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:

• Supabase — authentication and account storage
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
• PostHog — product analytics. In the editor, we record anonymous, aggregated usage events (for example, when a chart is played or exported) to understand which features are used and improve the product. These events describe actions, not the contents of your charts or uploaded files.
• Sentry — error monitoring. Collects technical diagnostic information when something goes wrong in the editor so we can fix bugs.
• Google Fonts — some pages load fonts from Google, which receives the requesting IP address as part of serving them.

We do not use advertising networks and we do not sell your personal information.

5. Analytics & Cookies

We use cookies and similar local storage that are essential for authentication and keeping you signed in. In the editor, our analytics provider (PostHog) also sets identifiers used to measure product usage as described above. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track your activity across other websites.

You can block cookies and local storage in your browser settings, though signing in and some features may not work without them.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and associated personal information, email us at support@heartbeatvisuals.com and we will process the deletion within 30 days.

7. Your Rights
