Finding clean, reliable data is half the battle. These are the sources we recommend — and which ones plug directly into Heartbeat.

Heartbeat is a browser-based tool for creating animated data visualizations — specifically animated line charts. Upload your data, customize the look, and export a video ready for TikTok, YouTube, X, or anywhere else.

No account needed to build and preview charts. You only need to sign up when you want to export your video.

Heartbeat supports .xlsx (Excel) and .csv files. Your spreadsheet should have a date column and one or more data columns — one column per series you want to chart. See the Data Sources section above for tips on formatting your data correctly.

Yes. Heartbeat has built-in connections to Alpha Vantage (stocks, crypto, forex), FRED (U.S. economic data), World Bank (global indicators), and Our World in Data (health, energy, demographics). Fetch data directly inside the editor, no manual download needed. Some sources require a free API key.

Exports as MP4 on all major browsers. Firefox users get WebM. No format selection needed. Both work on TikTok, YouTube, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Everything — full access to all features for 7 days. Exports during the trial include a small "Made with Heartbeat" watermark. No credit card required to start.

You'll be prompted to subscribe for $10/month to keep exporting clean videos. If you don't subscribe, you can still use the editor — you just won't be able to export until you upgrade.

Yes. Cancel anytime from your account settings — no questions, no penalties. You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

No. Heartbeat processes everything in your browser. Uploaded files and chart data never touch our servers — they stay on your device throughout your session.

Yes. Charts and videos you create with Heartbeat are yours — including monetized social media content, client work, and paid promotions.

Use the download (↓) button in the toolbar to save your current config as a .json file. To reload it later, click the upload button and select your saved file. Your data, colors, fonts, and all settings are preserved.
